33rd Annual Diocesan Convention and
My Life in Christ Youth Conference
The 33rd Annual Diocesan Convention of the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the USA, Canada & Australia began with the 8th annual My Life in Christ Youth Conference. Twelve of our youth attended, three were staff members. The Youth Conference was at Camp Camby right outside Indianapolis which made it easy to get back and forth to Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church and the Marten House Hotel where the Diocesan conference was held.
On July 14 everyone arrived at the camp and settled in, greeting new friends and old. The Youth conference lasted all week ending on Sunday July 20 with the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and brunch at Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church.
The Youth Conference began with everyone attending a challenge course which enhanced everyone's ability to work together to accomplish goals building trust and camaraderie. The rest of the week was filled with talks by Dr. Albert Rossi, discussions, sports, music, dancing, talent show, free time and the big dinner dance.
