Our Annual Harvest Festival Sept. 24, 2011
Our Annual Harvest Festival was celebrated a week early this year on September 24th. It was a beautiful day and a windless evening
Our old time small town theme with crafts, games, archery, horse rides, three leg and sack races and an obstacle course provided an exciting day for all. There was a tea room with live classical music and fancy sweets and scones. We had Salvadoran, Chinese and Eritrean food booths as well as our regular bar-b-que. The evening performance was a recreation of an old time radio show complete with commercials for our sponsors.
It was such a nice evening that about 40 guests stayed to help with the cleanup. Once the hay bales were stacked we turned on some music and had a wonderful dance.
Below are photos showing many of the days activities.
