Holy Theotokos Young Women's Conference June 24-30, 2008
This year we held our 7th annual Holy Theotokos Young Women’s Conference. Young
women aged 13-17 from around the country gathered for a time of prayer, spiritual instruction, crafts, recreation and fellowship. The theme for the conference was “Living Orthodoxy in Modern America.” The activities included venerating the relics of St. John Maximovitch in San Francisco, a day at the beach on the Pacific coast, and a service project cleaning and renovating Archimandrite Dimitry Egoroff’s grave site. The young women led the daily services and performed newly-learned liturgical hymns at our Sunday services.
There was time for fellowship, sports, crafts and discussion of topics of interest to young
women. The young women all had a memorable stay and we hope to see them again next year.
